Rosa Rebecka’s teaching style is friendly and passionate, and her repertoire for groups includes traditional songs from England and around the world - not leastwise Sweden! - as well as especially composed pieces.
Finding Your Voice
Friendly sessions for complete beginners and experienced singers alike. A session contains easy, inclusive rounds and harmony singing. This can be a session or a series of sessions. It is especially suited for festivals and events.
Developing Your Singing
This weekly one-term course for mixed groups is for more in-depth learning, and covers many areas, including ‘singing technique’, ‘interpretation’, ‘the rhythmic voice’ and ‘free group improvisation’. It is especially suited for concentrated learning environments, and Rebecka currently teaches it at the University of Plymouth.
For those wanting to create a group with a long-term commitment, a regular choir enjoys a constantly growing repertoire for enjoyment and performances. Rebecka currently runs Voices In Common West Devon Folk Choir for Wren Music on Tuesday evenings in Okehampton, Whiddon Wide choir at various Dartmoor churches, and Black Torrington Community Choir as well as the Swedish, Exeter-based singing group ExeSwedes.
Rebecka gives tuition in singing technique, performance technique and composition for all ages and abilities. She offers both individual and small group lessons. Contact her for more details.
